Leeds Point is a Stoner Rock power trio from Franklin Square, New York, whose lyrical themes speak of wizards and mythical creatures, bringing to mind images of forests and lost magical cultures. Having a number of concerts under their belt, they have since released their latest work "Fahnestock Rock".

The album starts with the intro "Ritual of Stone”, a good introduction that blends harmoniously with “Sunrise”, which provides a good first acquaintance with the overall vibe of the album. "The Obelisk" is the hit of the album and is sure to be a fan favorite. This is followed by two powerful tracks, "The Meadow", bearing a style that is reminiscent of Stone Temple Pilots and "Hawk Mountain ", a song with a heavy dose of Pontiak sound. "Portals," an instrumental piece with several groove laden sections opens the way for the seventh track "Black Cabbage," which during its 7 minute duration displays stylings of Kyuss and Slo Burn which will be sure to provide fans of the “Stoner Metal" sound, a track with a high replay value. Next are "The Stone Cutters" and "Wash you Clean”, the former bearing a hard rock sound similar to that of ZZ Top and the latter having more of the classic rock sound which is displayed throughout the album. The tenth track is an Interlude, an ambient piece with a palette of different sounds that suitably serve the entrance of the next and final track of the album "Fahnestock Rock”. This track is a fitting closer to the album, complete with loud riffs and vocals which invite you to hit the replay button and listen to it again.

This is a good release which, while not straying too far from the familiar sounds and stylings of the American Stoner Metal sound, manages to incorporate several grunge, psychedelic and even classic rock influences to give the tracks something more. Production does not disappoint; the vocals are very well crafted and instrument mixing makes the sound powerful, and the result remarkable.
